RedCannon VMFW Manager™ combines the power of virtualization vulnerability monitoring, intrusion prevention and firewall security with an enterprise-ckass man¬agement system. VMFW Manager delivers a policy driven environment for complete virtualization security management from remote deployment to policy provisioning to security compliance reporting. VMFW Manager extends security policies beyond the traditional security solutions to cover virtualization deployments in the enterprise.
Centralizes Management of all VMFW components:
VMFW Manger has an easy-to-use interface for managing and maintaining all VMFW components. VMFW uses a Microsoft MMC stype object-oriented model for component management. The entire enterprise gets defined as VM objects, Network Objects & Virtualization Host objects. These objects can be then associated in a security zone or group. All security policies for Hypervisor & VM vulnerability monitoring or network firewall & IDS/IPS rules are then associated with each security zone or group. This object-oriented approach makes the policy creation, association with VMFW components & enforcement tracking, simpler for the IT administration. All VMFW enforcement components deployed on any type of VMWare virtualization server such as ESX,ESXi or Server 2.0 & Workstation 6.5, can be deployed and managed using the VMFW Manager.
Auto-Discovery support for quick deployment:
Business users demand convenience, zero downtime and instant restoration when they are connected to the server. VMFW solutions are designed to be easiest to deploy & configure. VMFW solutions support DNS-based auto-discovery of the management platform i.e. as soon as a VMFW Enforcer is deployed on to a virtualization server, it automatically discovers the management platform & downloads the appropriate policy configuration for the virtualization server. Once the policy config is downloaded, the enforcement immediately begins.

Complete virtualization security life-cycle Management:
VMFW management platform supports a complete life-cycle management of virtualization security. From a single management interface, all management tasks can be performed including, policy configuration, deployment, license management, software change management, signature updates as well log review and reports. VMFW Manager is an easy to use application which can be launched from the VMFW enforcement center (VMFW Controller) web-interface, using any Windows PC from anywhere.
Extends Enterprise Compliance to Virtualization:
VMFW policies allow precise compliance enforcement on all VMs and Hypervisors deployed in the Enterprise. For regulation compliance all authorized VMs are made-compliant to the enterprise security policies. All unauthorized VMs and Virtualization servers, hypervisors & environments are blocked or removed thus removing the risk of unauthorized or unknown virtual machines in the enterprise. VMFW enforcement components diligently log each enforced policy and compliance parameter to make sure IT can generate extensive compliance reports for later review.
